Descripción: At times we imagine just how great the scope is of the extensive ideas that lie behind the inexhaustible recipe book of chef Allain Mills, how many days or weeks does it take to produce elite dishes without stopping? Allain is a vocation chef. He graduated from the Ecole hotelier de Thonon Les Bains he had for many years a restaurant in Paris until he discovered the Canary Islands. During the 1990's Tenerife awarded him the distinction of 'Best Foriegn Chef', and during three long five year periods he has composed the highest category dishes for us based on selecting the prime ingredient with loving care. Amongst his fine dishes a priveliged space is occupied in our palantine memory for some rump steak (or veal kidneys), with mustard, confit of duck and a very fine starter; carpaccio of meat and scallops. From the lamb chaldron with mushrooms to poached eggs in meurette our taste buds have been captivated. There are comepetitive wines and desserts without equal.

My wife and I visited Alain on Tuesday 25 Oct 2011 and were extremely impressed. Welcomed with a complimentary Kir royale, the helpful waiter from Cordoba explained all the special menu in loving detail! Following another mini appetizer of vegetable consomme with tiny finger of bread stick and some other vegetable creation, we shared a seafood salad starter with foie gras and pretty triangles of toast. For mains we tried the medaillones of pork with pruneaux and veal slices in white wine and mushroom sauce, with immaculate sides of vegetables and other treats. All absolutely delicious! and well supported by a Marques de Caceres rosado wine. For desserts we tried the tarte au citron - best lemon meringue ever tasted! and the equally amazing cerises flambe. We had some excellent food in Los Cristianos, but this was just sensational and easily topped the list.

We went to this place in Tenerife (after much reccommendation and difficulty finding it!)on our 40th Anniversary with new friends.Really good food and service - and we will return.

Venimos cada año a pasar las vacaciones en Tenerife por que tenemos familia aquí en los Cristianos. La cena de bienvenida siempre la hacemos en el Bistrot de Alain. Es acogedor, amable, muy bueno, copioso y barato. Que más quieres.

Me and my wife visit restaurant Le Bistrot D'Alain in Los Cristianos every time we are in Tenerife. It is mainly French cuisine, but absolutely gorgeous food! Bistro Alain is located in the middle of Los Cristianos, and a great place to eat out after having strolled through cosy streets in this lovely fishing village. Tenerifes best French Restaurant!

This restaurant is a consistent gem.We ate here on Christmas Day
2007 and again on January 2nd. On both occasions the menu was
interesting and the both the quality of food and presentation excellent
. Roast quail, lamb with beans , jugged hare all excellent. Tarte tatin
and pear tart both great. I had hoped to have again fillet of lamb with
tarragon sauce that appeared on the menu in 2006. It was awfully
good , but alas it wasn't on the current menu. This was my only
disappointment . Service by all the staff there is first rate and the
young Thai(?) man who has taken on the role on Maitre is a great
credit to the place. In the ten years that I been eating here at
christmas and new year , which is the only time I get to Tenerife,
Bistrot D'Alain has never disappointed , except when I can't get in .
